About Me

I grew up in the states; Southern California to be exact. My passion at the time was football until an injury ended that path in life for me. It was this injury that opened a whole new path for me. I don’t remember the pain of the injury but I do remember the lights, sirens and the paramedics working on me. I remember the hospital staff and the level of attention they gave me. I remember the rush and at that moment I knew emergency medicine was something I wanted to do. I continued with school and received my Emergency Medical Technician license in 1990. I worked with a local ambulance crew for a few years to gain field experience. I continued my education and received my Paramedic license shortly after.

In 1994 a friend, and colleague, introduced me to my future wife. Tara moved from Winnipeg to California with her family. We dated for a little over a year and we were married in 1996. We returned to Winnipeg in 2000 to be with family and at this time we were blessed with a family of our own. Our son Devon was born on December 13th 2000. With the move and the new addition to the family I decided that I needed to do something different. I needed to be closer to my family and not be away on the job so much. I did the odd job here and there but couldn’t find the passion I had as a Paramedic. Thru a friend of my wife I was told about a sales position at the local Honda store. I remember telling my wife there is no way in heck I am going to sell cars. I can’t sell my way out of a paper bag let alone a car. After discussing it further I agreed to meet with the manager at the Birchwood Honda on Regent store. I was amazed at how well the company was run and how they treat their customers. One of the first things I was shown was a plaque that clearly stated their code of conduct, and code of ethics. I started at Honda in 2005 and truly enjoyed it. Giving every customer my very best service and making sure they were looked after just makes it all worthwhile. I remained at Honda until 2009 and moved over to our Toyota store where I am today. Coming from a team sport, to a team of medical professionals, to a team of sales professionals I can say I found my passion again.

As for myself personally, family is the most important thing to me. People often ask me if I am crazy to move from California to Winnipeg. The truth is no, I am with my family and this is my home and very proud to be a Canadian! Tara and I just recently celebrated our 14th anniversary and our son will be turning 10 this year. I am looking forward to another great year with family, friends and of course meeting new customers and building great friendships. Thank you for taking the time to know more about me and what I value most in life.
